Breaking the trend

Something amazing happened yesterday: I bought something in Primark.

I'm 26 this July and this is the first time in my life that I have bought anything from there. I blame this purely on Zoe, in a good way obviously. To be honest I went in there looking for a pair of red shoes to wear when I go to a hen party dressed as Dorothy (I didn't buy any), I came out clutching a little brown bag containing a gorgeous blouse. Cue photo of me looking pasty.

I wandered around in awe, now I understand why there are so many people walking around town with huge bags from Primark. It would be so easy to go crazy in there on all manner of things. Funnily enough there was a police van outside when I left, maybe the police officers were drawn in by the fantastic bargains on offer?

Whilst I was in town I also bought some new concealer, I've been using Erase Paste since buying it in New York City in 2008 (I kid you not, it's lasted that long) but it's not really strong enough to cover my under eye circles completely. I'm really pale so suffer quite badly from blue shadows and no matter how awake I feel if I don't use concealer I look dreadful. After looking around Superdrug, the make up section of which has changed so much since I was a teenager, I opted to try Gosh Touch Up Concealer in number two. I used it this morning before going out and it did an ok job but it didn't totally cover up the circles so I applied a bit more tonight to see if it would work if I built it up and it does seem to have done the trick a bit better this time. I'm still trying to find the ultimate under eye concealer but this should do for now.

Today my mum and I ventured to Caerphilly to look for a Dorothy costume for me, I have come to the conclusion that unless you've got big boobs most costumes won't fit you, even ones that claim to be extra small. In the end I bought this outfit.

All I need now is red sparkly shoes and Toto.

Tomorrow I have an interview at a well known car insurance company, I've just found out that a really good friend of mine has been offered a job in the same department that I've applied for. It would be great to work with her again so that's really pushing me on to do well tomorrow.

  1. I always go crazy in Primark!
I found a pair of red glittery pumps on ebay before so it might be worth looking on there.
Good Luck with the job x
